ZeroTek is a rapidly growing company providing the next generation of management platform and Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions for Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) serving small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Our software is deeply integrated with Okta and brings its advanced enterprise features to MSPs and their customers with a comprehensive multitenant service platform.


About the opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate, ambitious, detail-oriented Senior Technical Trainer, to join our team to contribute towards providing ZeroTek product and Okta training.


We have developed a program consisting of three instructor-led courses with hands-on labs, procedures and course material. As our Senior Technical Trainer you'll play a lead role in delivering this training program and collaborating with our subject matter experts and technical writing team to further develop, refine and maintain the program.


This role is critical to the success of our MSP partners, and by extension, critical to our success. By delivering high-quality technical training on the ZeroTek platform and its integration with Okta, you’ll enable our partners to leverage the platform to its full potential.


The position is full-time remote work from home.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date training content that ranges from, comprehensive training materials, including manuals, step-by-step guides, video tutorials, and FAQs, tailored to the needs of MSPs.
  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to MSP partners remotely, covering the ZeroTek platform, its integration with Okta, and best practices for deployment and management.
  • Collaborate with the product team to gain a deep understanding of the platform and upcoming features to incorporate into training programs.
  • Collaborate with the peers in the partner success team who are our Okta Subject Matter Experts (certified at Okta’s Consultant level)
  • Gather feedback from training sessions to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cloud security and access management to enhance training relevance and effectiveness.
  • Administer ZeroTek's digital credential provider service (Credly).

Other contribution opportunities for this role may include:

  • Assisting the Partner Success team with Professional Services and Proof of Concept (POC) Projects and sessions.
  • Assisting the Partner Success team with support tickets.
  • Assisting the Communication team with documentation review for all material.
  • Assisting the ZeroTek Engineering team with QA/testing before release and providing feedback during feature design.

Must-have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical training, preferably with a focus on cloud-based software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), and SaaS applications. Prior experience with Okta integration is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing training materials and conducting virtual training sessions.
  • Experience with On-Premise Active Directory management (AD policies, Group Policy, Office 365 synchronization, Azure AD Connect)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of how to build test environments using Microsoft VMs such as installing Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 (or 2019/2022) from scratch. Setting up test Active Directory domains.
  • Experience documenting customer issues in a ticketing system.
  • Excellent relationship management, customer service, and communication skills in a variety of forms (written and spoken).
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience administering Okta, Azure AD, Office 365
  • Experience developing and implementing e-learning programs including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously, with strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting and administering IAM protocols and technologies (SSO, SAML, OAuth, Federation, SCIM, etc.) such as Okta and Azure AD - ranging from setting up Single Sign-On applications to defining MFA policies and applying cyber security best practices around authentication policies, setting up “Big Bang Federation” apps such as Office 365, Google Workspace, and setting up Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience integrating On-Premise Active Directory with Okta and understanding of the various methods by which user profiles can be mastered (Okta Mastered or AD Mastered).
  • Experience with the following products: Intune, Duo, Jamf, Addigy, OneLogin
  • Experience with MSP tools (RMM, PSA, security tools, password managers, etc.)
  • Cross-platform OS knowledge (Mac OS X, IOS, and Android)
  • Experience with setting up RADIUS
  • Experience working in the MSP industry
  • Okta Workforce Identity certifications (Professional, Administrator or Consultant)
  • Previous experience in a technical support role
