Description
Our client in the mortgage industry is seeking a senior UX designer who can coach and upskill a team of UX Designers, providing expert guidance on a UX refresh project. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating user-centric designs that meet the client's objectives and enhance the user experience. The resource will collaborate with other designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality UX solutions.
Responsibilities
-Lead the UX refresh project for the client, from research to prototyping to testing to implementation.
-Coach and mentor junior UX teammates, providing feedback and support on their projects and career development.
-Consult with the client and other stakeholders to understand their goals, needs, and preferences.
-Conduct user research, such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to gather insights and validate design decisions.
-Create user personas, user journeys, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that align with the client's vision and user needs.
-Present and communicate design concepts and deliverables to the client and other stakeholders, explaining the rationale and benefits of the UX solutions.
-Work closely with developers to ensure the UX designs are implemented correctly and meet the quality standards.
-Measure and evaluate the UX outcomes, using analytics and feedback tools, and suggest improvements and enhancements.
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
-At least 5 years of proven experience in UX design, preferably in a consulting or agency environment.
-Portfolio of UX projects that demonstrate your skills and expertise in various UX methods and tools.
-Strong knowledge of UX principles, best practices, and trends.
-Proficient in UX design software, such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision.
-Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
-Passion for learning and sharing your knowledge and skills with others.
-Eligible to work in Canada.
