We're seeking an energetic individual who thrives in a customer service-focused setting, with previous experience in a Service Manager role, ideally in a trucking or related industry.
Responsibilities:
· Check and review all work orders, ensuring accuracy of all shop and service activity.
· Responsible for ensuring all inventory items are accounted for.
· Managing the schedules and activity of all shop floor employees, including start and end times, breaks, and overtime.
· Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace both on the shop floor and the yard.
· Organize and prioritize shop and road work orders based on customer requirements and time of request.
· Train and mentor all employees on how to inspect all units being serviced for preventive safety measures.
· Train and mentor all employees on how to accurately complete work orders before being billed out.
· Coordinate scheduled maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of service trucks and shop equipment.
· Collaborate to achieve and exceed our established goals and targets.
· Foster enduring relationships with customers and employees at all levels
· Stay current with product knowledge and embrace evolving technologies.
· Ensure consistent adherence to health, safety, and security protocols.
· Inspire and motivate the team to fulfill our mission.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in an industrial or mechanical industry, such as Commercial Tires, heavy-duty mechanics, automotive, trucking, or related fields.
· At least two years of proven leadership experience, with responsibility for overseeing and assigning tasks to service technicians and mechanics.
· Proficiency in maintaining a safe and secure workplace, demonstrating a strong commitment to employee health & safety.
· Demonstrated track record in delivering exceptional customer service to meet and exceed client expectations.
· Must possess outstanding organizational skills, coupled with effective interpersonal abilities and excellent communication skills.
· Proficient in computer usage, including relevant software applications necessary for effective service management.
