CES/AWS has an immediate opening for a Set-UP Technician in the Windsor, Ontario, area.

Pays: $26.16/h

Summary:
Responsible for positioning, securing, aligning, and changing assembled moulds while ensuring compliance.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary technology diploma (or equivalent training and/or experience)
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
Ability to safely operate forklift and crane
Ability to change and install molds as well as setting up and programming programmable Plastic injection molding presses and equipment is essential.
Knowledge of Plex database applicable to job function
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain injection molding machines, ensuring safety and efficiency.


• Perform equipment start-up and shutdown according to the production schedule and instructions.


• Verify safety systems and report any issues.


• Change molds accurately and securely.


• Connect electrical, hydraulic, and cooling systems correctly.


• Adjust settings for core pulls, ejection mechanism, mold opening and closing, and clamp pressures.


• Troubleshoot equipment for quality production.


• Follow standard procedures and document any changes or recommendations.


• Organize equipment after each mold change.


• Any other duties that management assigns.
