The Position:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Sheet Metal Pre-Apprentice will work closely with fellow Pre-Apprentices and Warehouse staff providing assistance with daily task. This is a temporary role within the construction department. This position is for a 308A Sheetmetal apprenticeship. The length of the role with be determined by the demand for the new first year apprentices.
Responsibilities:

• Unload new and left-over materials from outgoing and incoming trucks.
• Pick orders as per job requirements.
• Assist with shipping and receiving or parts.
• Assist with delivery of parts when needed.
• Assist with organizing and cleaning shop.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Valid G license with a clean driver abstract.
• G3 Gas license (registration in the G3 course is expectable).
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods License an asset.
• Must have strong professional communication skills.
• Must work effectively independently and with a team.
• Must work in an organized manner with an ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess strong attention to detail.
• Must have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
