Sheet Metal Apprentice

We are looking to hire a Sheet Metal Apprentice

Reporting to the HVAC Supervisor, this position will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair Sheet Metal products – from furnaces and ventilating systems to all Sheet Metal products used in the construction industry as directed by the journeyman.

The following skills are needed:

• Minimum 2 years in the HVAC trade as a Sheet Metal Apprentice.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and specifications for new construction, homes and small to midrise commercial projects.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully collaborate with others.

Responsibilities include:

• Installation of HVAC ductwork including flexible tubing and Sheet Metal construction for various aspects of installation and venting.
• Layout houses for heating and cold air returns, gas lines, and all venting as directed by the journeyman.
• Working with computerized equipment to cut, bend or straighten Sheet Metal.

Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
