Primary Functions:
Provides intake, monitors and attends to the well-being and safety of shelter guests. Maintains a comfortable, clean and safe environment for shelter guests.
Job Duties and Tasks:
Performs security duties for the facility such as patrolling buildings and grounds, escorting unwelcome visitors off the grounds.
Observes client behavior, investigates and handles disturbances, deals with client emergencies in accordance with guidelines, and reports incidents to appropriate staff or authorities
Provides clients with information related to the building and explains clients’ responsibilities for duty assignments, provides direction, and monitors and assists clients with duties.
Monitors clients and attends to any medical and behavioral needs that arise.
Ensures that clients follow shelter rules.
Notifies the supervisor of any major problems or emergencies. Responds to emergencies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Ensures that log books, files and other documentation such as incident reports are complete.
Performs housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, emptying garbage, cleaning rooms and laundry.
Performs minor building maintenance such as changing light bulbs.
Reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
Monitors maintenance and housekeeping supplies.
Notifies manager of major repair and maintenance requirements as needed and files completed work orders.

Requirements
· Proof of two doses of immunizations against Covid 19
· Criminal Record clearance to work with vulnerable adults
Job Type: Casual
Salary: $26.30-$28.74 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Williams Lake, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
