Shipper And Receiver

Peak of the Market Ltd. is hiring a motivated and organized Shipper and Receiver. As a fast-growing organization, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality products while fostering an inclusive and collaborative working environment.

The Shipper and Receiver is responsible for loading and unloading product from trucks, sorting and stocking shipments, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the distribution center. Performing duties in a safe, efficient and accurate manner is critical to this role.

Duties:

• Operate forklift and rider within the DC in a safe manner
• Receive product, report deviations, and accurately complete relevant paperwork
• Pick orders accurately and complete relevant paperwork
• Data entry - prepare shipping and receiving documents and reports
• Load and unload trailers and trucks in a safe manner
• Complete inventory counts
• Notify Supervisor/Manager of any product quality issues
• Keep area clean, tidy and organized
• Perform daily inspection and report all mechanical concerns immediately to Supervisor/Manager
• Communicate and co-operate with staff, customers, growers, and suppliers
• Adhere to Company policies, rules and regulations
• Strive to achieve the company’s mission and goals
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous forklifts experience (must be able to obtain Safe Lift Truck Operator License)
• Handle/lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Grade 12 and related work experience
• Physically fit to perform required tasks
• Basic computer skills
• Must be bondable

Working Conditions and Position Specifics:

• Must be physically fit to perform tasks required
• Must be able to handle weights up to 50 lbs
• Must have ability to work at various heights
• Ability to work with loud noises
• Tolerance for cool temperatures

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.06-$24.01 per hour
