Shipper/Material Handler

This position is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipping.

Job Description:

• Determine methods of shipment and arrange shipping, prepare bills of lading, customs forms, and other shipping documents
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods
• Prepare domestic and international shipments, preparation of documentation, interact with customs, commercial trucking services, Fed EX, UPS and other couriers.
• Ensure a safe working environment and participate in the Internal Responsibility System where everyone shares the responsibility of safety
• Ensure that your behaviours contribute to a positive working environment, effective working relationships, and thorough communications with the team
• Follow all procedures and work instructions in accordance with the Quality Management System and actively participate in the review and updating of the system as required
• Package goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Picking component parts for production work orders
• Cutting cable
• Provide support to complete any other tasks as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager.

Skills:

• Strong computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Excellent communication both written and verbal

Requirements:

• Experience working with ERP system.
• Previous shipping and warehouse experience
• Experience preparing international shipment including customs documentation (Commercial Invoice, B13)
• Strong computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30PM – 4:00PM

Payrate: $20/hr.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Shipping: 2 years (required)
• Working with ERP systems: 2 years (required)
• Warehouse: 2 years (required)
• International shipments including custom documentation: 2 years (required)
• Commercial invoice B13: 2 years (required)
