ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Shipper/Receiver you will support our operations team. Training will be provided and you will be supported by peers and the operations team. You will work in our new northwest Cambridge facility but some time will be spent in our Fergus Ontario facility as well.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing lists.
- Unpack and sort received items, storing them in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and label items accurately for outgoing shipments.
- Update status of inbound and outbound product in our ERP system (bluelink)
- Contact carrier representative to obtain quotes, make arrangements, and to issue documentations and instructions for shipping and delivery of material
- Coordinate packing and shipping of all goods, including boxing, skidding, weighing, dimensioning.
- Resolve discrepancies between orders and goods, such as delays, condition, weight, quality, etc.
- Operate material handling equipment, following proper safety procedures.
- Perform inventory counts as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of secondary school, or equivalency.
- Experience: 0-2 years of manufacturing warehouse experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products – specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
