Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Position Overview:As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for coordinating the shipment, receiving, and storage of products, ensuring they are handled with the utmost care and efficiency. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments accurately and promptly
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling
• Verify product quantities and quality against packing lists and purchase orders
• Safely load and unload shipments, operating material handling equipment as needed
• Maintain inventory records and track stock levels to ensure optimal supply levels
• Work closely with various departments to coordinate deliveries and resolve discrepancies
• Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations in handling products and equipment
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas of improvement in the Shipping and Receiving process

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in Shipping and Receiving or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software is a plus
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) safely
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
