Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional member service with a positive, professional approach and attitude toward customers
• Assisting in loading/unloading freight and stocking shelves as needed
• Reviewing shipments to ensure correct freight has been delivered
• Checking invoices to ensure products and quantities are correct
• Maintaining inventory levels and placing orders accordingly
• Processing paperwork and warranty claims
• Operating and maintaining all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Being responsible for proper storage of a variety of products
• Maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times
• Adhering to all Evergreen Cooperative Association policies and procedures and participate in the Health and Safety program

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Organizational skills and great time management
• Ability to work independently in a team environment
• Positive, professional approach and attitude toward work, strong interpersonal skills
• Previous retail experience would be an asset
• Previous receiving experience would be an asset
• Working knowledge of hardware, home centre, farm/agricultural products and building supplies is an asset
• Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service
• Sense of urgency
• Commitment to cooperative values and principles, strong customer service
