What You Will Contribute

As the Shop Assistant you will be engaged in a variety of tasks ranging from supporting the Technicians, cleaning the work area, tools, equipment, trucks, and the facility yard but also incorporating building maintenance to ensure that our facilities remain safe and operational. In this role you will also support the Manufacturing Team by picking up and delivering parts, helping with shipping and receiving, and assisting in the stock room as required. It's important to note the physical nature of the work, as your involvement will require hands-on engagement and the willingness to tackle tasks that may be physically demanding at times.

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for heavy truck mechanics and should be interested in developing their skill set within this highly specialized sector.

What You Will Need

• Completed high school
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to lift heavy objects unassisted, up to 50 lbs
• Safety/steel-toe boots
• Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset
• Forklift operator certification is an asset

Salary: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
