Shop/Yard Labourer (Summer Student)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the yard and shop area to ensure a safe and organized working environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and needs in a polite and friendly manner.
• Utilize company vehicles for pick-ups and deliveries as needed, following established routes and safety protocols.
• Operate forklift and skid steer machinery after receiving appropriate training and certification from the supervisor.
• Conduct accurate daily counts of inventory to assist in maintaining stock levels.
• Perform various duties as assigned by the supervisor to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude towards learning and teamwork.
• A willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to changing tasks as required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to your own vehicle.

Other Information:

• This is a full-time seasonal summer position starting April 1, 2024, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the potential for some overtime during the peak busy season.
