Title:Shuttle Driver - Staff
Reports to:Transportation Supervisor
Job Type:Full Time Seasonal (April through October)
Location: Inverness, Nova Scotia, B0E 1N0

Position Overview
As a Staff Shuttle Driver at Cabot Cape Breton, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our team members between the resort and our off-site staff accommodations. Your role involves operating shuttle vehicles, following designated routes, and adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. As a representative of Cabot during transportation, you will provide a friendly and professional atmosphere, contributing to a positive work environment. Your attention to punctuality, vehicle maintenance, and guest safety will be paramount. By offering reliable and efficient transportation services, you will support our staff's daily activities, promoting a smooth operation and a strong sense of community within Cabot Cape Breton.

  • Punctuality: Appreciate the importance of being punctual and reliable, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs for staff members to reach their destinations promptly.
  • Familiarity with Local Area: Have a good knowledge of the local area, including different routes and landmarks, ensuring efficient and smooth transportation without unnecessary delays.
  • Communication: Embrace clear and effective communication, both with passengers and the transportation coordinator, to ensure a seamless experience for staff members relying on shuttle services.

Preferred qualifications and skills:
  • Previous experience is an asset.
  • Valid Class 4 Nova Scotia Driver's Licence required.
  • Clean Driving Abstract.

Requirements of the role you should be aware of:
  • Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
  • As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
  • Able to lift or carry 50lbs or more.
