Roaron Construction is a construction company operating out of the lower mainland. The general work zone is Abbotsford to West Vancouver but job sites occasionally vary throughout the province. Jobsite location frequency is often dictated by population density, meaning Surrey and Vancouver are popular. The crew and equipment warehouse is located in Aldergrove. Primary work times are 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday but can vary based on overtime and client requirements for the work to be completed. Some weekend work and rare night work can be expected.
The work may focus on concrete, asphalt and waterproofing applications. Jobs can vary from concrete repairs, to carbon fiber reinforcement, new construction, parkade restoration, drainage solutions, landscaping and brick paver repairs, excavation work and more. The same task is rarely worked on for more than a week, so the ideal candidate must have the desire to learn, adapt, and handle the changes associated with doing different types of work each day.
The goal is to expand the team by finding some unique workers with strong work ethics and reliable skills and promote them up in the company.
The right candidate will need the following:
- Minimum 3 years construction industry experience
- Basic math skills
- A valid drivers license (class 5, 3, or 1)
- Reliable phone contact (wifi communication is not reliable)
- Reliable transportation (bus services are not reliable)
- An aptitude for learning new techniques and skills
- A strong work ethic while working alone and with others
- The active effort to problem solve and work as a team
- A reliable retention of instructions
- Consistent adherence to attendance standards
- Be physically fit to handle moving heavy items, pull on items, work sometimes in awkward positions.
Added consideration given to those having experience with:
- Skid steer experience (grading, concrete breaking, milling, snow clearing)
- Concrete finishing
- Asphalt raking or grading
- Waterproofing
Considerations for the workers:
- All ESA rules are followed at a minimum and often better to reward the workers.

There is zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol on any jobsite or in any company vehicle at any time. Often, jobsites are part of a larger general contractor site and the site rules will be extended to the crew.

It helped manufacture modified asphalt products, represent and install international products and develop new products to solve problems not addressed in the industry.
