As a SNOW (ServiceNow) Admin at TELUS International Digital Solutions, you will be the driving force behind the efficient operation and optimization of our ServiceNow environment. This remote and contract position allows you to showcase your expertise in creating, monitoring, and troubleshooting mid-servers, ensuring smooth Discovery schedules, and managing complex CMDBs. Join us in revolutionizing IT asset and configuration management, utilizing your deep knowledge of ServiceNow and contributing to the success of our dynamic IT organization.

Responsibilities
  • Create, monitor, and update mid-servers, ensuring optimal performance through clustering and separation
  • Manage subnets/VLANs and maintain Discovery schedules, identifying gaps in results
  • Investigate new patterns for efficient Discovery and troubleshoot errors in systems not discovered
  • Create, update, and maintain CMDBs, Asset Management Databases, and other configuration management repositories
  • Identify and track Configuration Items (CIs) while implementing change control in a complex IT environment
  • Reconcile CMDB data exceptions and interpret client issues for effective problem resolution
  • Review data population into the CMDB, acting as a partial owner of the ServiceNow CMDB
  • Ensure CMDB health to support Assets and Configuration and CI relationships
  • Utilize deep product knowledge for accurate issue definition and resolution design

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Configuration Management
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience with ServiceNow Discovery
  • Minimum of 7+ years working on a team as part of a large IT organization
  • Experience with WMI, SSH, SNMP, PowerShell, REST, SOAP, and JavaScript
  • Expert in IT Asset Management Lifecycle processes, including hardware and software
  • Familiarity with network concepts (routers, switches, firewalls, NAT, load balancing) and storage
  • Scripting capabilities such as JavaScript, jelly, and SQL (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Web and Application Servers, Load Balancers, Databases, Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.), and Virtualization (WebSphere, MQ, IIS, Apache, VMware)

Education/Certifications
  • Certified System Administration and ITIL Certified
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery
