Social Media Specialist

This is a hybrid position in Chilliwack, BC. Candidates must be in British Columbia to be considered for this role. You will be fully onsite (5x a week in the office) for the first 3 weeks as you are training and getting onboarded, and will then move to a hybrid model (in the office 3x a week)
This is a completely new position at a retail company based in Chilliwack. They have a loyal consumer base and have been in the industry for more than 30 years. They have custom made and specialized products.
In this role, you will be responsible for this company’s videos and Social Media. You will be responsible for video editing, graphic design and Social Media channels.
What you will do and how you will make an impact …
[-] You will create exciting videos about this company’s products and will have creative freedom to come up with new ideas and content. You will collaborate with various teams to understand the product and user base, and can work with them to create videos e.g., product demonstrations, comparisons, ‘how-to’ videos and more.
[-] You will manage this company's Social Media and create new Social Media posts.
[-] You will stay on top of Social Media trends and present your feedback and recommendations to senior leadership.
[-] You will participate in tradeshows and events and would travel to event locations (typically around BC, and sometimes in the US). This would be 10% of your role next year.
