About Us: The Open Doors is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities in rural Alberta. We provide a range of programs and services aimed at promoting mental wellness, child development, social connections, and community support.
Position Summary: We are seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Social Media Specialist/Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using Social Media to engage with our community, raise awareness about our programs, and promote our organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Social Media strategy to increase our online presence and engagement
- Create engaging content for our Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages on our Social Media channels
- Collaborate with the team to create digital campaigns and promotions
- Analyze Social Media metrics to track the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Social Media marketing
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Knowledge of Social Media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights)
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in Social Media marketing or communications is an asset
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 5-10 hours per week. This position can be done remotely, with occasional in-person meetings at our office in Camrose.
