Form of workWe are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Sr. Specialist to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will use your wide array of knowledge to provide support to our clients. Once you are here, you will:
• Develop test cases, test strategies, test plans, and execution of tests through out the various testing life cycle; including hands-on experience reviewing test documentation and test results and quickly identifying and troubleshooting issues.
• Provide testing leadership and technical expertise to accelerate the development process across software integration projects.
• Lead and manage a testing team, including task assignment, monitoring progress, and providing guidance.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements and timelines.
• Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring thorough testing of application and systems.
• Proficient in using defect tracking tools to log, monitor, and report issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools for efficient and repeatable test execution.
• Implement and manage regression testing processes to ensure the stability of applications across releases.
• Work closely with development team, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure testing aligns with project goals.
• Automate the testing process and integrate it with continuous integration /continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Use automation testing tools for web to enhance test efficiency.
• Leverage Jira Zephyr for software testing and test automation service to track and manage test cases, defects, and testing progress.
• Implement load testing to assess application performance under various conditions.
• Take ownership of overall Quality Assurance success Team player who collaborates with others & provided motivation to other team members.
• Work in a team environment providing high-quality feedback and review of other team members' work Identify, recommend, and implement standardization and industry best practices.
• Overcome project obstacles with ease and escalate quickly when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience performing automated testing activities for mid to large, complex applications in enterprise level environments.
• 2+ years in the role of Quality Assurance lead with direct supervision of QA team members
Ideal Skills/Experience
• Frontend testing experience involving Selenium WebDriver with Java/ Python, C#, or Cypress
• Backend API testing experience based on Rest Assured with Java or other programing language and integrate the tests on CI/CD strategy - preferably GitHub Action workflows.
• Soap API testing experience using SoapUI is a plus.
• Knowledge of EasyRepro framework for Microsoft Dynamics frontend testing
• Experience with maven projects
• Aligning Business Goals and Functional/Non-Functional Requirements to Craft Test Plans, identify test scenarios, create test cases, adhering to the testing process, test execution & defect logging and tracking.
• Git knowledge
• Automated and Manual Integration testing for Microservices or Distributed Application services
• Foundational Software Development Knowledge (SDLC)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present technical information to all audience levels.
• Exhibits critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting and meet deadlines.
• Hands on with all activities related to testing such as creating test plans.
• Experience in developing Load tests using JMeter or other testing tool.
Must be located in British Columbia, Canada.
