Solar Panel Installer

We are looking to hire another solar installer for our growing business. We are looking to hire someone who wants to join our team and grow with the company coordinating and installing systems in a long-term manner. We are looking for someone who is extremely detail oriented and willing to put in the time and effort to get the job done right for our clients.

Job description

Duties and responsibilities:

• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• Troubleshooting installed electrical equipment to resolve issues for clients
• Assembly of mounting hardware, attic work in homes and businesses to verify structural attachment
• Working on residential and commercial roof tops as well as installing ground mounted systems
• Following layout of solar modules
• Attend training sessions on new products, methodology and safety
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients in a professional manner at all times
• Must be able to work with suppliers coordinating, scheduling and picking up materials required for each job.
• Flexible work schedule; requirements may include overtime, occasional weekend duty and/or extended hours.
• Contribute to day to day operations on the job site as directed
• Contribute to site safety and security
• Our candidates need to be comfortable on a variety of types of roof structures
• Ability to safely lift and carry 50lbs and over on a frequent and repetitive basis.
• Previous experience and knowledge of solar PV
• Complete site checks and cleanup at conclusion of each day
• Some additional job responsibilities as required

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Solar experience an asset but not required
• Previous experience working on a rooftop.
• Valid drivers license and owned vehicle required
• Electrical background preferred - basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of ac and dc systems.
• Certified working at heights training and fall arrest certification will be provided by DRE as needed.
• Reading comprehension of technical documents
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Exemplary problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to nurture effective professional relationships with staff and clients
• Professional demeanour and attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00-$26.00 per hour

Experience:
