A Solar Panel Installer is responsible for the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of Solar Panel systems to ensure optimal performance and energy production.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Assessment:
- Conduct on-site assessments to determine the feasibility of Solar Panel installations.
- Evaluate the location, roof structure, and electrical systems to design an efficient solar power system.
Installation:
- Install Solar Panels, mounting structures, and related components according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Connect wiring and electrical components to integrate the Solar Panels with existing electrical systems.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance on Solar Panel systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise, including identifying and replacing faulty components.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that installations meet industry standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality and functionality of the installed Solar Panels.
Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of project details, including design plans, installation specifications, and maintenance logs.
- Provide documentation for clients, inspectors, and project managers.
Safety:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during installation and maintenance activities.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education is a plus).
- Experience in electrical work, construction, or related fields.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Timings- 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Location- Barrie, ON.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.50-$37.50 per hour
