SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Who:
Creative and ambitious SLP’s interested in working collaboratively with team members including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Behaviour Consultants, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants, Physiotherapists and RDI consultants.
The SLP will be assigned to multiple families and will support the delivery of services at home, school and in the community contexts.
Flexibility and ability to collaborate and coordinate services is essential.
Candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience working in the field of Paediatrics and/or experience with Specialized Services/Program Unit Funding preferred .
The successful applicant must be registered with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
What:
Enabling Specialized Services contracts as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include facilitating goals and objectives on the child’s individual service plans/individual program plans, enhancing family capacity, and collaborating with clinicians.
Engaging children using a play based approach in helping meet the goals that the parents and team set on the service plan.
Developing resources such as social stories, visuals, games or scripts.
Flexibility and ability to collaborate and coordinate services is essential.

Immediate contractor position available with flexible hours. Hours dependent on family/child’s availability (after school, evenings and weekends) from Monday to Saturday.
