Do you have experience with power automate and similar automation tools? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our Sr. Business Process Automation Specialist role.


As a Sr. Business Process Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions for various Business Processes across the organization. You will consult with business stakeholders, IT teams, and technology partners to understand the current state of the processes, analyze the opportunities for automation, and deliver end-to-end solutions using power automate and other various automation platforms. You will also monitor and maintain the existing automation solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support and training. This role will be critically involved in the creation of the teams’ business engagement framework and opportunity evaluation. As a Senior member of the team this individual is expected to act as a mentor to the team and further the teams’ professional development.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Co-create the development of a framework for the identification and evaluation of automation opportunities, with an emphasis on processes that have a significant productivity impact.
  • Foster team growth by actively contributing to the professional and personal development of team members by providing guidance, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Further the automation strategy of the Emerging Technologies team through identifying, evaluating, and expanding capabilities in new and existing automation tools.
  • Create a partnership with a wide variety of business groups, developing solutions that directly and measurably achieve their business objectives.
  • Continually monitor advancements in AI technology, assess their potential to enhance automation capabilities, and integrate effective solutions into our automation strategy. This includes understanding the practical applications of AI, predicting future trends, and making recommendations that align with our business objectives.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using a variety of Automation toolsets.
  • Support the creation of automation standards and best practices to ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of the automation solutions.
  • Manage the automation project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Monitor and maintain the existing automation solutions, perform regular audits and reviews, and implement enhancements and fixes as needed.
  • Create and facilitate a comprehensive training curriculum to educate employees on the use of automation tools and best practices for Process Automation. This will be a core pillar in a larger Citizen Development program.
  • Provide user support and training on the automation solutions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents.
  • Create a comprehensive knowledge transfer program and delivery knowledge transfer session to the business function owning the automation
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the automation domain, and recommend innovative solutions to meet business needs.

 

What you'll bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business Process Automation, using power automate and RPA tools, such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
  • Proven ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies through demonstrating a strong understanding of the technology landscape, including the ability to assess the viability and potential impact of new technologies and produce comprehensive cost/benefit models for use in business case development.
  • Strong ability to connect business objectives such as a reduction in operational cost or improving process efficiency to specific Automation solutions with proven demonstrable impact in previous Automation initiatives.
  • Clear understanding of SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Ability to evaluate current and new technologies and create cost/benefit models through through gap analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AI technology and its applications in enhancing automation capabilities.
  • Certification in power automate and/or RPA platforms, such as Microsoft Certified Power Platform Fundamentals and/or Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Process analysis and design, workflow modeling, and automation best practices.
  • Proficient in scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or VBScript, and SQL.
  • Experience with web services, APIs, and cross-platform integrations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects and priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
