What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
-Collaborates and consults with DC Operations and Training teams to define training needs, identify resource opportunities, and develop plans to execute and achieve business requirements
-Supports the design, development, and maintenance of learning content (onboarding programs, ILT, conferences etc.)
-Executes rollout of DC training programs (technology, systems, onboarding, operational training, TJX Leadership, LP, Health & Safety) across assigned DC facility leveraging DRIVE program tools and resources
-Coordinates DC facility training schedules; responsible for DC L&D center setup; ensures adequate training supplies and materials available,
-Monitors progress and evaluates training program implementations (skill transfer on the job, content, methods); collaborates with the Manager of DC Operations Training and L&D to identify training gaps, needs and opportunities to maximize training effectiveness across DS network,
-Trains and coaches DC Operational Management teams on business acumen and is a key resource to answer questions and discuss best practices; provides timely feedback and guidance as needed,
-Responsible for keeping up to date and current on DC processes, systems and technology updates, market trends, best practices, legislation changes and labour relations practices,
-Responsible for tracking and reporting on training program metrics to inform recommendations program improvements,
-Participates in annual and special projects / committees as needed.
 
What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:
-Excellent communication skills, facilitation/presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams with various needs and objectives, experienced in creating communication messages and plans and participating/leading meetings/presentations
-Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment
-Minimum three (3) years of Distribution/Supply Chain, Operations experience; post-secondary education in Business or related field preferred; labour relations experience considered an asset
-Minimum three (3) years’ experience working in learning and development including methods, practices, design, and development Completed or working towards certificate in Adult Learning; experienced in adult learning and facilitation techniques
