Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):
- Reviewing student requests, carefully assess student inquiries and requests, provide timely and accurate responses.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, typing, copying, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information for colleagues and students.
- Coordinate student appointments for the Student Succes Centre (SSC) Supervisor and other team members.
- Book appointments for Wellness, Disability funding, Learning Support, and Attendance sessions.
- Collaborate with the Learning Assistant Supervisor to manage schedules efficiently.
- Support Strategic Academic Learning Team (SALT) supervisor and manager with administrative tasks as needed.
- Identify academically struggling students and connect them with potential SSC services.
- Create workshops based on suggestions from various faculties.
- Assist students with disability-related applications.
- Track tutoring sessions and determine required services.
- Communicate with Alberta student loans regarding Disability funding requirements.
- Keep Learning Assistants informed of curriculum updates and manage their training effectively.
- Send emails to students who are not attending classes.
- Work closely with the Student Advisory Services (SAS) team and faculty and ensure students receive the best possible service.
Education & Experience:
- Hold a Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized institution.
- Possess a minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative role.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
- Familiarity with office administration procedures.
- Previous experience using Calendar Spot is advantageous.
