Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our dental instruments and equipment. Your attention to detail and adherence to sterilization protocols will contribute to maintaining a high standard of patient care. We are open from Monday-Thursday and a few Fridays a year.
Duties:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available
- Assist dental professionals with instrument setup and breakdown during procedures
- Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies and order replenishments as needed
- Monitor and document sterilization equipment performance, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Follow infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
