Lyons Timber Mart is currently seeking a Stock Associate to join our team. You will work out of our Black Road Timber Mart location.
The ideal candidate will find excitement in joining a team which provides customers with quality products, expert advice, and exceptional service.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process stock receipts accurately and efficiently
- Stock interior doors, trims, and mouldings
- Read and use handheld electronic devices to verify product
- Work from heights, ladder and manlift
- Greet and assist customers and suppliers with a friendly and positive attitude
- Keep up to date on store product
- Provide, wear, and maintain Certified Steel Toe boots
- Ensure store is clean, organized and maintains all health and safety protocols
- Assist with Gate House coverage as required
- Work with floor associates to ensure the accuracy of products locations
- Train other employees as requested be management
- Ensure stock is organized and placed in appropriate locations
- Sort through customer returns and damaged items; add damaged items onto Supplier returns
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Organize and file all documentation; receive checks; scan all paperwork received
- Assist with other duties as required or assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Friendly and positive attitude
- Knowledge of Building Materials is an asset
- Willingness to take initiative in getting tasks completed
- Friendly, courteous and helpful
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
