Storage and Backup Designer- Hitachi

Location: can be open to any location in Canada within proximity of a CGI office
CGI follows a flexible hybrid model, with employees working in the office for 2-3 days.
Must be eligibile to obtain a SECRET level Security Clearance.
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Storage/Backup Designer that can work quickly, efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will join a team of diverse and talented resources that manage sophisticated, scalable and reliable environments.

- University or college degree in IT
- 3-5 years of experience with design and implementation in a large enterprise environment.
- ITIL certification (an asset)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good knowledge of Industry Standard best practices.
- Excels working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance of Level II (Secret).
- Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation
- Ability to implement complex business solutions according to technical and financial requirements
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in a sensitive business context
- Ability to communicate to different level people ( technical and business)
- Ability to make clear decisions according to key elements
- Accuracy and detail-oriented
- In-depth knowledge of backup software from Hitachi, Veritas and CommVault.
- Excellent written and oral communication including the ability to create and present professional documentation.
