Position Overview:
The Strategic Finance Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, strategic decision support, and budget management across all entities under The Allison Group. This position plays a crucial role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring adherence to financial best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
  • Develop and implement financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, providing insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial support.
  • Strategic Decision Support:
  • Assist senior leadership in making informed strategic decisions by providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Evaluate potential business opportunities, investments, and partnerships from a financial perspective.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of various strategic initiatives.
  • Budget Management:
  • Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to set realistic and achievable financial targets.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement or adjustment.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and other factors that may impact the financial health of the organization.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Present financial information to senior management, providing clear and concise explanations of financial results.
  • Cash Flow Optimization:
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring the organization has the necessary funds to meet its operational needs.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risk.
  • Collaboration with Business Units:
  • Foster strong relationships with leaders in various business units to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic partner, providing financial guidance and support to help achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and recommend enhancements to financial management practices.

Financial Responsibilities:
The Strategic Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial oversight of all subsidiaries of The Allison Group of Companies. This includes utilizing QuickBooks Online for accurate and efficient financial management across all entities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of financial services, including investment strategies and risk management
- Proficient in financial software applications and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
