DBM Vircon’s Detailing team is growing, and we are currently recruiting for a Checker to join our Vancouver-based team. You will be responsible for checking drawings, models, and related information to identify drafting discrepancies for correction.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Checking all details in models and drawings per relevant design information, drawings, procedures, specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Performing back-checks on final drawings against original check prints to ensure accuracy.
• Reviewing Request for Information (RFI) and Connection Design Questions, ensuring accurate incorporation into the model.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant country and project standards by adhering to DBM Vircon drafting procedures in accordance with applicable Business Quality procedures.
• Working closely with project managers, project coordinators, and construction modelers to facilitate the smooth and timely delivery of projects (schedule) and maintain effective communication.
• Providing guidance and technical advice to modelers to enhance their proficiency.
• Approving and signing off final models, drawings, checklists, CNC date, Bolt lists, and drawing packs.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including experience as a modeler.
• Experienced in relevant CAD Software, e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the checking process, along with 3D models and isometric drawings.
• A solid understanding and ability to draft and check in accordance with local standards and regulatory requirements.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 CAD per annum
