Description
Based out of the Taber office, the Student, Conventional Field Operations will report to the Operations Supervisor, BRPL District 1. The Summer Student responsible for performing routine site maintenance and operations support, under the general supervision of the District Operations personnel.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Painting Site Fencing and Structural Steel
- Picking weeds
- Site Control Building Organization
- Spring clean-up and fall preparations
- Assisting with basic site maintenance with operations
- Support Operations Management with new initiatives
- Support Ops Supervisor with data collection, site drawing reviews, etc.
Education, Skills & Experience
- Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program with a keen interest in learning more about the energy transportation industry
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Pleasant personality and positive outlook
- Dependable and punctual
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn new skills
- A commitment to learning, safety consciousness and compliance with plant procedures is essential
Work Time Frame: May 1, 2024 – August 30, 2024
Hours
9 hour shifts Monday-Friday, every second Friday off
As this position is identified as safety and/or security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol, drivers abstract, and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
