Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.

Northern Zones – types of work:
- General labour assistance
- Assistance in outdoor project work - painting buildings, painting pipelines, site clean up, loading and moving material, and other learning/experience opportunities
Where possible, the Summer Student will be exposed to different parts of the organization to experience different fields of expertise.
Eligibility:
- Preference will be provided to high school students or students enrolled in a post-secondary education facility and enrolled to continue full-time studies the following semester
- Able to commit to the full work term of employment offered from July 04 – Sept 01, 2024
- Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently five days per week in an on-site office and/or site environment
- Pay rate: $25.10/hourly + 4% vacation pay
- Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident, and be eligible for a Reliability security clearance
