Summer Warehouse Worker

We are currently looking for a Shipper/Receiver for a Summer Contract position for Full time hours from May to September, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. The position will pay $17/hour and is perfect for students looking for summer employment!

The Warehouse worker will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The ideal candidate must be well suited to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Pick customer orders indicated on pick tickets. Wraps pallets and loads trucks for in-town deliveries.
• Wraps and labels pallets for out-of-town deliveries and pick-ups
• Ensure products are designated to their proper bin locations.
• Assist with cycle and physical inventories counts.
• Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements:

• Ability to read, interpret and understand order information.
• Minimum 18 years old
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Understanding the importance of meeting customer demands.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Forklift certificationand WHMIS training would be beneficial, but not necessary.
• Must have vehicle to drive to location (not on bus route)
