The HSE Road Transport supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Road Transport advisors, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders, and overseeing the implementation and compliance of the carrier management system and NSC items. The HSE Road Transport supervisor ensures that all Road Transport activities are conducted in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner, in alignment with the company's policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of Road Transport advisors, ensuring their professional development and performance.
- Provide technical and operational advice and support to internal stakeholders on Road Transport safety, risk management, and best practices.
- Monitor and audit the carrier management system and NSC items, ensuring that all Road Transport contractors and suppliers meet the company's requirements and expectations.
- Manage the national safety code for the company's internal fleet, ensuring that all vehicles and drivers comply with the regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement Road Transport safety plans, procedures, and initiatives, in collaboration with other HSE functions and business units.
- Conduct regular Road Transport inspections, assessments, and investigations, and report on the findings and recommendations.
- Manage and resolve Road Transport incidents and issues, and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends, developments, and regulations in Road Transport safety, and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the company in external Road Transport forums, networks, and associations, and build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, safety, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Road Transport safety, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of the carrier management system and NSC items, and their application in Road Transport operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
