Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.
We are seeking two experienced Transmission Line Supervisors to oversee the construction of a 135km, 235KV Transmission Line from BC Hydro's Glennanon Station. The supervisors will be integral to ensuring the project is delivered according to scheudle, adhere to all regulatory and permit conditions, and maintains the highest standards of safety and quality.
Location: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC.
Schedule: Two weeks on, two weeks off

- Report directly to the Transmission Line Project Lead and provide comprehensive supervision of construction work activities.
- Manage construction deliverables in alignment with the project schedule, including oversight of pre-clearing surveys, land clearing, foundation and pole installation, conductor stringing, and commissioning works.
- Ensure compliance with all permit conditions, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials and supplies to the worksite.
- Supervise and manage contractors, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled, and work is performed efficiently and safely.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment in British Columbia.
- Contribute to the implementation of project management plans, including safety, quality, cost, and schedule plans.
- Facilitate regular progress meetings and report on key performance indicators.
- Resolve issues that arise during construction, applying a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Proven experience in managing high-voltage Transmission Line installation works, with a preference for those familiar with the regulatory environment in British Columbia.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within Transmission Line construction or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple contractor groups.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, high-voltage equipment, and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- A track record of adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Ability to work in a remote location and adapt to varying environmental conditions.
- Relevant certifications or a degree in an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
- BC Mine Supervisor Certificate and St John Occupational First Aid/ transportation Endorsement Qualifications will be looked upon favourably.
