As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will advise staff on supporting system capabilities and processes used in providing Supply Chain services to end users. You will have a financial understanding and problem solving approach with the different Business Unit clients to proactively identify and correct system transactional errors on the General Ledger.  Primary duties include:
  • Support inventory operations, coordinate invoice adjustment processes, audit requirements, data entries and records requirements, inventory valuation, transactional questions and accounts payable on approvals for pricing problems or outstanding payments and credits to vendors.
  • Provide administrative control over the Reverse Logistics flow of Inventory goods returned to vendors, including coordination of the Invoice Adjustment processes.

  • Support Fleet & Inventory (F&I) staff regarding Audit requirements and appropriate data entries and records requirements to meet these audit specifications.
  • Provide expertise for inventory replenishment activities, inventory analysis, reporting and design and optimization opportunities.
  • Perform data monitoring, reporting and analysis of Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) for performance and quality based metrics related to Supply Chain processes and outputs and ad hoc reporting.
  • Prepare, manage and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and supporting documentation related to the processes supported by the Supply Chain Analyst.
  • Liaise with City IT/ESS regarding PeopleSoft process problems, and communication with F&I staff to advise them of the expected remedies and timelines. 
  • Support for the City of Calgary Radio Frequency application. Transaction monitoring and corrections in the Re-submit application.
 
Qualifications 
  • A High School Diploma or equivalency (e.g. GED), successful completion of a 1 year certificate in a Supply Chain discipline (Procurement, Inventory Management, or Business Management), and at least 5 years of industry experience which includes at least 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain Inventory role working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Knowledge of inventory management concepts, inventory replenishment theory and the ability to link procurement, warehousing, logistics to the operating environment.
  • Accounting skills will be considered an asset. 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) will be considered an asset. 
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.

Compensation: Pay Grade 9 $37.79 - 50.55 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day 
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle. 
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
