The Role: At Open Farm, we are passionate about pets, the planet, and animal welfare. Our 100% traceable ingredients are certified by 3rd party welfare farms and make for protein-dense and nutrient rich pet food. As we continue to grow, so do our operation needs. We are looking for the perfect candidate to fill a 4-month paid internship from May to August 2022.
Reporting to the Associate Manager, Logistics & Warehousing, this individual will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day functions of a fast-growing consumer business. From controlling outbound management of wholesale orders; domestic & international and, inbound management of inventory flow from Co-mans to finished good distributions facilities, both dry & frozen.

- Coordinate and support in Finished goods movement from Open Farm Co-mans to Open Farm distribution facilities to Wholesale Client Distributors, both dry and cold
- Manage relationship with the Distribution facilities, Carriers to execute inbound / outbound replenishment and fulfillment activities
- Support in cross border shipping, ensuring all the import/export documents are up-to-date to avoid delays
- Manage relationship and be part of collaborative meetings with strategic partners in developing process efficiencies and synergies between Open Farm & Customers
- Update and/or develop standard operating procedures for logistics & warehouse processes
- Maintain PO Tracker, Internal Traffic Tracker, Order Allocations, Ops Scorecard and Dashboard
- Play a key role in supporting the team in development of weekly S&OP deck
- Good communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with senior management and across numerous departments
- Demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Operations/logistics
- Absolutely must be detail-oriented, very strong communicator & organized!
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel & Outlook
- A passion for pets, animal welfare and sustainability
