Position Overview
The Automation Technician provides technical support for automated material handling equipment in customer warehouses and distribution centers. The Position works with PLC Engineers, Software Developers, and Software Support Engineers to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical systems. The Position is part of a customer service team in-residence to ensure systems are running at peak efficiency with maximum uptime.
Essential Functions
- Operate automated system machines in semi-automatic mode.
- Support customer operations, helping clear faults in the automated system.
- Effectively communicate with customers and team members in a respectful manner.
- Maintain work environment clean and organized.
- Works independently with minimum supervision.
- Must be available to work in different shifts from Monday to Friday.
- Must be able to drive cranes
Qualification Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Hands-on, reliable, and proactive person with mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, interest in learning warehouse automated systems.
