SalaryContentLab is seeking a detail-oriented freelance Technical Copy Editor to join our fully remote team. A leader in technical content marketing, ContentLab works with brands to tell stories that build trust and engagement in developer communities.
You will be responsible for:
- Editing technical marketing content, including thought leadership articles and hands-on tutorials.
- Reviewing and implementing internal and external style guides.
- Applying consistency in tone, voice, and messaging.
- Ensuring copy, code comments, diagrams, and screenshots are error-free.
- Reviewing (and occasionally writing) alt text.
We're looking for:
- Strong proofreading skills
- Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy
- Comfort with technical subject matter — No programming background or specific software knowledge is required. You'll have the support of our developer-authors, subject matter experts, and technical content strategists in ensuring that copy is technically accurate. However, we look for editors who are comfortable reading and editing content about technical topics. Any interest or experience with tech is an asset!
