Job Summary 
Perform a variety of administrative/laboratory activities to support department objectives.
Responsibilities 
Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
•    Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety and biosafety procedures.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance within the department.
•    Monitor, order and receive laboratory supplies.
•    Perform laboratory maintenance including general lab cleaning, monitor stock of consumables, equipment cleaning/maintenance and decontamination/disposal of chemical and biohazardous waste.
•    Perform daily verifications of lab equipment and basic laboratory testing (ie pH, consumable inspection, Certificate of Analysis review).
•    Perform weekly check of safety showers and eye wash stations.
•    Perform annual cleaning as per lab requirements (e.g. freezers, coolers, etc.)
•    Assist with document archiving.
•    Perform other tasks as assigned including general facility support.

Education, Experience & Skills
Education:
Grade 12 Diploma. Post-secondary education would be an asset. 
Experience:
Experience working in a laboratory or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
•    Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
•    Effective written and verbal communication with co-workers, other departments and external contacts (e.g. suppliers).
•    Demonstrate good work ethic and ability to work alone or in a group.
•    Strong organization/time management skills.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
•    Basic mechanical aptitude/ability to perform routine maintenance on lab equipment.
Additional Requirements:
•    Citizenship/Permanent Resident or Valid Work Permit.
•    Successful Completion of a Criminal Record Check.
•    Must be able to work .
•    Must be able to adapt to shifts based on business needs.
