Position Description
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, a Temporary HR Associate will play a key role in improving the overall efficiency of the Human Resource Department and also provide support where it may be needed in order for the Human Resource team to focus on their core tasks.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a dedicated team committed to safety, experience, and operational efficiency within the Human Resource Department.
- Assist with day-to-day HR administrative functions and duties, including preparing and editing correspondence, communications and presentations, scheduling, minute taking, filing, reporting and data management.
- Reception duties such as welcoming visitors in person or on the telephone, answering/referring inquiries, distributing and coordinating incoming/outgoing mail and monitoring the HR email.
- Coordination of HR activities (meetings, seminars, training etc.).
- Assist with the recruitment process by scheduling testing and interviews, preparing interview materials and coordinating the process with managers and candidates.
- Assist with the administration of core benefits programs.
- Coordination of various employee recognition programs, events, and engagement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources and/or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in an administrative role, Human Resources experience is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a Unionized setting.
- Familiarity with HRIS management software, such as UKG.
- Fast computer typing skills.
- Experience in working with Microsoft Excel/Word, Adobe, G-Suite, and electronic filing systems.
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- The Salary Range for this position is $57,000.00 - $85,o00.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
