Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Redwater facility is recruiting for a Supervisor, Terminal Operations to join the team. This position reports to the Redwater Terminal Manager in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit, (NBU) part of Pembina’s Facilities Division. NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support compliance to terminal agreements;
  • Establish and maintain internal and external peer relationships;
  • Provide leadership that encourages growth aligned with our corporate vision;
  • Support the development of the annual operating budget;
  • Support “Key Performance Indicators” for targets established for the Operating teams;
  • Communicate goals and objectives to appropriate teams;
  • Lead troubleshooting processes;
  • Lead and encourage teamwork with all members of the Terminals Group;
  • Supervise, coordinate, and coach team members in troubleshooting operational issues to develop solutions;
  • Support the development and application of the Terminal Operations strategy for the Redwater Facility;
  • Provide written and verbal reports as required;
  • Provide advice, guidance, and approval for team members regarding professional development;
  • Review and respond to daily Operations log;
  • Support processes to ensure incident management and compliance by the Terminal Team;
  • Monitor prioritization of maintenance activities;
  • Responsible for all scheduled and unscheduled outages;
  • Support Operations representation for CAPEX projects;
  • Support the implementation of the team succession plans;
  • Communicate performance expectations and provide feedback on individual performance;
  • Provide leadership in the Incident Review / Investigation Processes;
  • Support safety program compliance in the Terminal Operations;
  • Support and promote corporate initiatives;
  • Comply with the process, application, and sustainment of the Emergency Response program;
  • Compliance with the Environmental management system and safety programs;
  • Support the safe operation of Redwater Terminal Facility; and
  • Foster an environment of inclusion and diversity that continues to contribute towards values of team and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of related industry experience;
  • Previous experience successfully leading a team;
  • Understanding of Terminal Operations;
  • Emergency response experience;
  • Previous experience with SAP would be an asset;
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and a demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications;
  • Effective written and verbal communication including a proven ability to interface positively with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.


The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
