Ticket Office Associate

We are currently seeking a Ticket Office Associate to contribute to the success and operation of Rockport Boat Lines 2024 Season.

Rockport, Ontario is a quaint village located in heart of the 1000 Islands, an internationally known tourism destination, offering seasonal sightseeing boat tours, waterfront dining and accommodations on the St. Lawrence River. The 1000 Islands region is also home to the famous Boldt Castle on Heart Island.

Our location provides the most unique and scenic backdrop highly sought by both tourists and residents. Along with being the leading cruise operator in the 1000 islands, Rockport Boat Line operate three distinct restaurants and an eleven-room motel on the river’s edge.

Canadian owned and operated for over 60 years, we have set a high standard for customer service with an entrepreneurial approach to touring and serving guests from all over the globe.

This is a full time/seasonal position required to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as required in a busy and dynamic working environment. Reporting directly to the Ticket Office Manager. Responsible for ticket sales and providing excellent customer service to guests, by performing the following duties:

Duties Include:

• Accurately process cash and credit card transactions for ticket sales
• Greet customers and provide information on cruise and tours
• Greet tour guides and check-in group tours
• Accept tickets and vouchers from guests and tour companies.
• Verify guest passports and visas for U.S. Boldt Castle Tour
• Communicate via VHF with vessel captains for departures and passenger counts
• Supervise parking attendants and ensure a safe work environment for all staff and guests
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Customer service experience an asset; training will be provided
• Basic math and number skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• French language speaking a strong asset
• Transportation required to work location (no public transportation available)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends and holidays
