Volare Auto is located in the Town of Oliver BC, Canada’s wine capital. The shop has been established in this location since 2006; under new ownership and name change in 2021. Large 4 bay shop with 6 hoists, up-to-date electronic software and diagnostic equipment. Volare’s primary business is the repair and maintenance of domestic and import vehicles, tire sales and repair, for individual and fleet customers.

Volare is also located within minutes of the Area 27 Motorsports Park. In addition to the personal and commercial vehicle customer base, Volare provides custom track car setup, performance upgrades and maintenance for racing enthusiasts. Membership at Area 27 permits on track testing and tuning, access to track days and other events.

Job Opportunity

Volare Auto Group is currently seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Tire & Lube technician. We are looking for general service technician that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for an automotive technician to help us create an environment of success!

General Duties Include:

-Conduct service maintenance/repairs such as oil changes, tire rotations, and supervised minor mechanical repair.

- Completing work in a timely, safe and efficient manner, ensuring that any work and diagnostics are completed correctly the first time.

- Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used and recommendations.

- Effectively communicate repair status and mechanical findings to supervisor.

-Ensure the facility and equipment is kept in a safe, neat and clean manner at all times both inside and outside

Specific duties may include (but not limited to):

-Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid exchanges and oil changes ,Visual safety and courtesy inspections.

-Mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires

-Testing and replacing batteries ,Changing bulbs, belts, and hoses

- Retrieve customer vehicle and secure on hoist/jacks, conduct necessary tire repairs, dismounts and mounts of all tires at location.

- Provide excellence in customer service through the efficient installation and repair of tires for passenger vehicles such
as cars and light trucks. •

- Maintaining and cleaning shop areas, performing shop maintenance items as needed

Requirements

-Previous Tire Installation and Service experience an asset
- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of routine automotive maintenance repairs/service
- Demonstrated positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent client care

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Provide acceptable references related to prior work experience.

Pay

- Wage $19.00 - $22.00 per hour plus statutory benefits. Negotiable based on experience.
