Tool Room Associate

Job Description:

The Tool Room Associate role represents an important operational role in conjunction with the Tool Room leader supporting the production team with all necessary tools, jigs, and equipment maintenance required to ensure optimal production efficiency and 100% uptime.

The role takes its direction from the Tool Room leader and is directly responsible for creating tools and jigs critical to the production of individual parts as well as completing all mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance to production equipment.

The Tool Room Associate should possess a “Can Do” positive attitude and strong attention to detail supported by strong problem-solving skills. They should also possess a solid working knowledge of CAD software and 3D printers as well as a good working knowledge of machinist skills required in a basic Tool Room environment.

Key Deliverables:

Main:

• Completes mechanical equipment repairs and preventative maintenance as required.
• Machines tools and jigs in support of the production process.

Backup to lead:

• Executes 3D printing projects in support of the production process.
• Completes CAD drawings in support of additive and subtractive manufacturing projects.

Production Tools & Jigs:

Main:

• Executes additive manufacturing of tools and jigs through the use of an in-house 3D printer as required.
• Executes subtractive manufacturing of tools and jigs through the use of in-house Tool Room equipment as required.

Backup to lead:

Creates CAD drawings for use in the production of tools and jigs through either additive or subtractive manufacturing.

Maintenance & Repairs:

• Completes mechanical preventative maintenance on building systems and production equipment as per the preventative maintenance schedule.
• Assists in the execution of mechanical repairs to equipment as required.

The applied Candidate must be a Permanent Resident or a Canadian Citizen.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per month
