Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate passengers to their destinations
  • Follow predetermined routes and schedules
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned buses
  • Inform passengers of the fare when applicable and monitoring fare payment
  • Provide friendly, respectful and helpful customer service at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid Manitoba class 5 driver's license with a minimum Driver's Safety Rating of -4 or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years' driving experience satisfactory to the employer
  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Customer service skills including in-person with the public
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Must provide a Police Information Check including vulnerable sector check satisfactory to the employer

Skills:

  • Strong map reading skills
  • Conflict management skills
  • Written communication skills including ability to understand and follow Transit policies and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills

Salary: From $21.63 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
