Job Summary:
As the Treasury Administration Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in the dynamic world of treasury operations. Your responsibilities will extend to the heart of our treasury back-office settlement processes, where your meticulous attention to detail will drive the smooth execution of crucial financial activities. From processing settlements to reconciling cash transactions, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Moreover, you'll be instrumental in upholding our internal control environment, safeguarding the integrity of our treasury transactions with precision and timeliness. What you'll be doing
  • Support the Finance group's leadership in the pursuit of executing core activities
  • Work in a dynamic environment with a focus on being agile in order to meet the growing and changing needs of stakeholders across the organization
  • Develop professional competencies and continuously work to improve strengths and professional performance
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to identify problems and develop solutions
  • Constantly ask "why" and be actively engaged in optimizing processes
  • Possess knowledge of financial instruments, securitization transactions and the Canada Mortgage Bond program, including derivatives together with extensive securities and derivatives settlements/administration experience.
  • Process settlement transactions of all Central 1 and custody client investments, commercial paper and collateral transactions executed by Front and Middle Office and liaise between stakeholders to manage settlement risk.
  • Work with Treasury to ensure that business needs are met and continuously look for ways to improve process efficiency
  • Assist in the commercial paper onboarding process for new clients.
  • Produce monthly statements and invoices for Central 1 Custody clients.
  • Maintain and track securities lending transactions
  • Process daily deposit transactions from the Treasury department as requested
  • Monitor and process financial transactions within daily deadlines, evaluate their validity and advise Treasury front office of any inconsistencies.
  • Monitor and withdraw securities lent as required for settlement of traded securities.
  • Process settlement accounting and post suspense entries between Murex suspense and payments posted by cash desk for settled cash.

What you'll have
  • Working towards a professional accounting or finance designation (CPA, CFA or FRM)
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial service industry
  • Working knowledge of core financial systems
  • Analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Display an agile mind set to accommodate a dynamic environment
  • Collaboration skills with a proven track record of effective conflict resolution and team-building skills, including being a role model for others and sharing knowledge and experience to other team members
Salary: $66,600
The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
