The Opportunity

Mawer Investment Management is looking to move our Vendor Management practice towards excellence. If you sweat the details, enjoy engaging with a variety of people, and have a passion to drive value this could be the opportunity for you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maximize value proposition from vendors
  • Collection and analysis of vendor information and usage data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost savings
  • Track renewals and assist vendor owners with preparation and execution of negotiations
  • Contribute to the vendor selection process by documenting vendor owner requirements, organizing vendor meetings, and producing analysis for input into the selection decision
  • Ensure all Vendor Management lifecycle processes such legal, risk, privacy, security, and finance are followed from selection and onboarding through to termination and offboarding
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation for future reference and auditing purposes
  • Monitor and report on adherence to contractual obligations by all parties involved
  • Implementation and management of vendor data and reporting tools

What You Bring

  • Experience that can be mapped to the responsibilities identified
  • University business degree or relevant post-secondary diploma is desirable
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships within a cross-functional team
  • Comfortable with engaging individuals in senior level roles
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
  • The ability to analyze data with the use of Excel is required, with Power BI an asset
  • Experience with process design and Visio is an asset
