Video Editor Position: Shaping the Narrative in Business and Entertainment

Role Overview:

In the role of Video Editor, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling visual stories across a spectrum of sectors including corporate business, finance, stock markets, geopolitics, commodities, investing, and the music industry. Your expertise will transform raw footage into engaging, informative, and impactful narratives.

Responsibilities:

- Edit and assemble recorded footage to align with the director's vision, ensuring a cohesive story across diverse industries.

- Skillfully trim and sequence footage, creating a narrative flow that engages and informs.

- Integrate music, dialogue, graphics, motion and SFX to enhance the narrative quality and viewer experience.

- Collaborate efficiently with directors and team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.

- Incorporate feedback to refine and perfect video content, ensuring alignment with client and directorial vision.

- Continually update and apply new editing technologies and best practices to stay at the forefront of industry standards.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience as a Video Editor, supported by a strong portfolio.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with Final Cut Pro is advantageous.

- Solid background in digital technology and editing software.

- A keen understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity in storytelling.

- Creativity in narrative construction and a strong storytelling ability.

- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24.00-$44.91 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

Experience:

• video editing: 2 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:
